Miles Redd in his Bathroom!

Not so long ago I was introduced to the work of Miles Redd and was totally blown away. This talented young Atlanta native honed his craft with the likes of antiques dealer John Rosselli and the legendary Bunny Williams after moving to Manhattan in the late 90's. Today, Miles has formed a loyal following that rely on his unique and elegant approach to design. There are countless things that I love about his work, but I guess the effortless and sophisticated (without being stuffy) feel of his rooms is what I love most. Now, I am inspired to incorporate some of this look into my own home... What or who inspires your home decor? 

Warby Parker...Finally We Will Meet!!

Listen Up!! I have wanted to try a pair of these handsome frames on for almost 2 years now. The demand online has been so high I have not yet been able to get my try at home pairs sent to my mailbox, but thats all about to change. Warby Parker eye-wear – the New York-based eyewear brand with a social mission – will be exclusively available at Nest (my chic friend Heather Alexander's store) here in Dallas for a two-week Pop-Up Shop beginning on May 10th and ending on May 28, 2011. 

Warby Parker provides boutique quality, vintage inspired frames with prescription lenses for $95(Yes unbelievable!!) and for each pair sold, a pair is donated to renowned non-profits who provide eyeglasses to millions of people around the world who don’t have access to proper vision care. So, if any of you are in Dallas next week be sure to catch this rare occurrence. The Pop-Up Shop is kicking off with a Launch Party from 6-8 p.m. on May 10. Thursday Cocktail...

It's Thursday and I desperately need a cocktail....

The Black Swan

1.5 oz Chambord Blackberry Vodka 

5 blackberries

 3 oz Lemonade 

Muddle four blackberries in bottom of a tumbler. Add ice, Blackberry Vodka and Lemonade. Garnish with remaining blackberry.

Ah, I feel better already...

Spring Has Sprung...

It's finally here...Spring that is.... 

I spent some time this weekend planting some of the containers on the courtyard. I have to say I really enjoyed it this year, it was borderline therapeutic. So much more to do but I felt that this was a great start. It was just great being outdoors for a change.
